356 DYNEEMA-ROPES DYNEEMA is the strongest synthetic material in the world. Ropes of Dyneema fibres type SK75 are considerably stronger than steel wire ropes of the same diameter while the weight is just one seventh. With a specific gravity of 0,97 Dyneema ropes have practically no weight in water. They even have a light buoyancy. The breaking elongation is 4 % similar to that of steel wire ropes.
